When you think about staying in a two star hotel, good thoughts usually don’t come to mind. I know many people that never choose a hotel under four stars. Some will venture down to three, but never further. It can be hard to remember that in some (please mind the SOME) places, two star hotels don’t mean cockroaches and mice turds.
One of those places is Paris! There are SOOO many gorgeous 5 star hotels for 500 to 1000 or more a night. The high price comes with certain expectations of a more luxurious experience. How can a measly (but still very clean and pretty) hotel that would normally be 5 stars in a smaller city compare? That’s why they rate it an unjustly two stars. While in Paris, I stayed in the best two star hotel ever! It was Hotel Du Printemps.
It was perfect in every way, small, clean, pretty, good service, and had nice staff! It was close to the metro and in the 12th arrondissement. It even had those double windows that open out to a nice street view, something that every girl wants for her Paris experience.
The bed was good sized and very comfortable. Keep in mind ALL rooms in Europe are smaller, there is also no elevators. So if you have heavy luggage you will be carrying it up SEVERAL sets of stairs. There was a small desk in the room, and a good size closet with a safe in it. Even the bathroom had beautiful windows you could open in case it was getting a little stinky.
If you happen to arrive early before checkin, the reception will take your luggage and hold it for you until the checkin time. There’s a nice lounging and eating area, and if you walk towards the steps, you will find a nice outside terrace.
During our time in Paris, we stayed in two other two star hotels. This was by far the best place we stayed! I would recommend anyone to stay here when they visit. You can book this hotel here.
Hotel Du Printemps offered us this stay in exchange for review, however all opinions honest and my own. I would not recommend anything to you guys I didn’t truly love.
